Reading Round Up 2021 #20

 I'll start this post by saying after my persistent promises, I still haven't picked up The Book of Longings again. I honestly don't know what's stopping me from reading it because I was enjoying it but other books keep getting bumped up the list.

Having said that, it's been a slow week for reading anyway.

I had the same old problem of struggling to concentrate. Too tired to read more than a few chapters at a time, perhaps my bed is too comfy to become my permanent reading spot.

However the books I have finished have been brilliant, both of which I'm joining blog tours for soon so I will get my thoughts short and sweet for now ...

Kara is an author, she writes romance but her own love life doesn't depict the relationships that she showcases in her novels.

But that could all change when an old college boyfriend (and his dog) step back into her life.

Be prepared to laugh and get ready to feel all warm and fuzzy.

With a likeable cast of characters, plenty of wit and sarcasm and a lot of love to boot, Talk Bookish to Me is the perfect antidote to any reading slump you might be having.

Guaranteed positivity in a novel.

One Ordinary Day at a Time by Sarah J Harris 4 out 5 stars

What I found fascinating was that this is in fact not a romance, we do get the girl meets boy but what blossoms from this is a truly heartwarming bond between friends.

With a generous combination of emotion and humour, which is all wrapped up in intricate and meaningful details, this is a book that although sad at times will give you a sense of hope.

An uplifting, unique story that left me smiling.

So now I'm reading two books, as well as The Book of Longings, I am making my way through The Ex-Boyfriend Yard Sale (absolutely hilarious).
