Board Books for Curious Kids - Little Tiger Round Up

In a time of uncertainty, we could all do with a bit of stability, even a bit of routine in our lives.

For little ones unable to attend their normal play dates, to head out to nursery or to go to their usual groups, it can be just as strange.

And that's where Little Tiger can help.

I was recently sent a few of their latest board books, which are always made with love, and I've popped them together in this round up. Hopefully there is one that you think will put a smile on your child's face, or perhaps one that you can gift to give a pick me up to someone else in need.

Starting with my favourite ...

Cook With Me! Bunny Makes Breakfast

Peek inside kitchen cupboards, under bushes and into the henhouse, as you help Little Bunny gather ingredients for a delicious breakfast. Then discover the recipe at the back of the book to cook the yummy breakfast yourself!.

There is so much to see and do in this book.

Each page has flaps to lift as you go in search of the perfect ingredients to make breakfast.

What I really love is the interactive feel about this tale and at the end there is a recipe to make pancakes, bringing the story to life as well as teaching the brilliant life skill of cooking.

Sea and Shore

There are all sorts of sea creatures to meet in this book. From crabs and fish to dolphins, turtles and seahorses, learn all about the cute characters as they POP UP from each page.

Who doesn't love a pop up book?

Filled with pop up sea creatures in an array of gorgeous colours, combined with an abundance of facts. This is a book that works for both little ones and children who are a little older.

It's fun and exciting. The build up of what might pop up on the next page.

Surprise!

ABC of Kindness

This cute board book has a cast of animal characters and gentle rhyming text, showing us all the ways in which we can be kind to one another - from A to Z!

Adorable.

That is the only way I can describe this book.

A brilliant portrayal of both the alphabet itself and the act of kindness (something that we could all use a bit more of) as they are combined throughout the pages.

Each page reveals the next letter in the alphabet - in both upper and lower case - alongside rhyming words and charming illustrations. Honestly the first time I looked at this book I was compelled to say aaaaa.

A beautifully inclusive book.

Nature's Tiny Miracle - BEE

A tale of wonder is about to unfold ...

Find out where Bee's miraculous journey through woods and meadows will end in this delightful peek-through book. The story is magically brought to life by Britta Teekentrup's beautiful illustrations.

It's that time of year where we see bees buzzing around our gardens.

This is a gorgeous peek-through book, as we peer through the hexagonal shape holes, we follow a bee on a journey through their day.

Learning just what it is they do (and that something is quite important) and getting a glimpse into the surroundings which they travel through.

I love that there is multiple layers to this book because not only are we learning about the bees, we have the opportunity to learn about various other things that they encounter in nature.
