Read With Me 2020 #9

Hello you lovely lot.

Welcome to this weeks Read With Me.

Thank you to everybody that linked up and joined in with me last week.

Being a book reviewer, I've started to get a lot more books in the post (with no obligation to review) and I'm finding I am struggling to keep up with reading them all. Well, that's not quite right. It isn't that I can't read them all, it is making the decision whether to prioritise those over my own personal reading choices if that makes sense?

I am trying to alternate my reading so that I am getting a good balance of both. Most books I receive are still ones that I end up loving and although I haven't been asked to publicise them all, I feel guilty if I don't give them some sort of attention via the internet/social media.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. My favourite post last week came from Carole with her book swap post for January. I love being able to share my love of reading with others, even better when you get to experience books that you wouldn't necessarily have picked out for yourself.

On to the link up. If you'd like to know more about this linky do visit my Read With Me page. For all regular linkers you know the drill, max of two posts and please make the effort to comment on others. You can of course share my badge below.

Happy reading.

  1. That is a dilemma and is exactly why I decided not to review books people sent me many years ago. There are far too many books that I want to read for myself, so I don't want to spend time reading ones people have sent to me, which I may not enjoy as much.

  2. Luckily I'm not getting them in the post, but I agreed to review a book last summer via an agent and have since received 3 more titles emailed via BookFunnel unsolicited. The most recent was just last week, when I really did not want to be bothered. Needless to say they are all at the bottom of my reading list. Surely it is only courtesy to ask first
