Kawaii has become very popular in this country in recent years. This is an abundance of cuteness which is prominent in Japanese culture. It is an artistic style that uses bright colours and cute childlike characters and images.
I was recently sent the Kawaii Journal (with hugs on the side) from the Christopher Hart Studio. Christopher Hart is one of the world’s leading author of art instruction books and it really shows in this journal.
Complete with two sticker sheets that feature many adorable Kawaii characters, this journal is a great way to encourage children to start writing (even adults will like the layout). Many of the pages include prompts like top 10 things that make me happy, what I love about school.
Kids can write to their hearts content. Whether it be lists, stories or anecdotes. There are lines on every page but you could even pop sketches in there too. It is one of those books that offers inspiration when you may be lost for words.
Priced at £12.99, the Kawaii Journal is perfect for kids and adults too, it would make a fantastic stocking present (Christmas is coming) and when written in, it creates a wonderful keepsake to look back on. Kawaii lovers won't be able to resist this book.
My 10-year-old is a huge fan of Kawaii. She would be delighted to get this at Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of these but I think my children are a bit young to have noticed them. I can see why they're so popular though, they look great #readwithme
ReplyDeleteThis is not something my boys have got into, but I do like the look of it
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of these, but this does look lovely. I can totally imagine my daughter filling in the 'clothes I want' page!
