Little Loves October

October, where did you go. Halloween is almost here and then they'll be Bonfire night. I don't feel like I've had time to love too many things this month. I haven't loved the darker mornings and the cold that hits you when you get out of bed but the colourful leaves and the cosy feeling I get in the evenings sort of balance that out.

Read

I've not had a lot of time to read many books myself this month however I've been reading Toto, The Dog Gone Amazing Story of The Wizard of Oz to my youngest daughter each night, the illustrations in it are just wonderful.

Watched

Finally got around to watch The Handmaid's Tale, what a programme, I now need to read the book.

Heard

The new Foo Fighters album, need I say more!

Made

I made this rather scrummy chocolate, orange cognac cake, you can find the recipe here.

Wore

I couldn't resist these lovely fluffy slippers from B&M because well unicorns!

And lastly...

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the wonder that is the pumpkin spice latte because soon it will disappear for another year.

And when I can't get to Starbucks I'm popping this pumpkin spice flavoured Baileys in my coffee, just as tasty. You can pick up your own bottle from 31dover.com

  1. I agree, the cosiness of autumn evenings balances out the dreadful mornings. Ah, The Handmaid's Tale! You will love it, then will want to read all of Margaret Atwood's books. Blessed be the fruit.

  3. The new Foo Fighter's album is so good isn't it? We've had it playing very loud in the car for the last few weeks!
Loving the slippers, if I had some they'd get stolen by my kids. Maybe getting us all some would work ;)
