Little Loves June

The end of June, half way through the year, nearly time for the summer holidays. But before all of that it's time for this months Little Loves.

Read

I've read a few books this month, including Neil Gaiman's American Gods but my favourite piece of writing this month came from my youngest daughter. This was her homework from a couple of weeks ago.

Watched

Well I continued to watch Pretty Little Liars, OMG what an ending! I may have also picked up a little addiction to Gossip Girl and who isn't watching Love Island?

Heard

Since the horrid attack in Manchester I've had two songs on repeat, Ariana Grande's Once Last Time and Oasis, Don't Look Back in Anger.

Made

In the hotter weather I eat a lot of salads which can get pretty boring that was until I made this sweet potato quiche.

Wore

The summer dresses have been dug out of the wardrobe including the one pictured below, love how some items of clothing seem to work year after year. I also got a lovely dress from Saltrock.

And lastly .....

I just wanted to show off how proud I am of my 7 year old. She received this certificate and it really made her day (and mine).

  1. What a lovely award to get! I love it when children are praised for things other than just academic achievements.
I can safely say I did not predict that PLL ending! It kind of came out of nowhere didn't it?
    Have a lovely weekend xx

    1. Didn't it, the British accent was laughable but I like that it was all unexpected.

  2. How adorable is that writing, I love that it's about a carrot so funny! I've watched a season each from Gossip Girl and PLL but I can't get into them at all. Have a lovely weekend x

  3. Ah, how lovely is that certificate - I hope your 7 year old is very proud! I'm not a fan of quiche, but I'm intrigued by a sweet potato version.

  4. Ahh that's a lovely award for your daughter to get, you must be very proud indeed!! I ADORE Gossip Girls but am a few seasons behind in PLL, you are the first person I've seen who has said something good about the finale; I was beginning to wonder whether I should abandon trying to catch up!

  6. What a lovely certificate to be given!

I haven't watched PLL - I know that if I started I would get completely sucked in and I would binge watch for days on end... much like I did with Gossip Girl. 🙈😀

  9. What a lovely certificate. I think its great that schools give them out, a huge confidence boost! I started watching Gossip Girl, but got way-laid with other programmes. I must carry on with it. Love Island! How great is it? Totally trashy TV, but addictive watching! Have a wonderful week xx
