My Sunday Photo 2017 #2

2017 has well and truly begun and instead of starting off in the same old way ie moaning about going back to work/school, I've actually begun by making quite a big change in my life. Since September I've been volunteering at my girls' primary school almost full time, this then extended into becoming a midday supervisor up there in December but now I'm extending this further by taking on a teacher training course.

I would have never though that at the age of thirty I'd become a student once more. I'm nervous and excited at the same time, worried about how I'm going to fit this course in with my day to day life and if I'm actually going to understand the work presented to me but I'd like to think that I am determined enough to get it done and the end goal will be me becoming a full time teaching assistant.

How have your years started, did you set resolutions/goals or are you happy to just go with the flow for the time being?

  1. My friend is near the end of her Uni course doing just the same, but she is nearer 50, best of luck on this journey, it will be very rewarding.

  2. Wow, what a great start to the year! I know a few people who have trained to become teaching assistants in their 30s or 40s. It's a great job for fitting round kids.
    No such dramatic changes here!

  8. Good for you! I went back to college 2 years ago to qualify as a nursery teacher and I just got a permanent job 5 weeks before Christmas. It was hard work, studying and being a mum but it has been so worth it. Good luck!
