Disney has a new film coming out this year and I for one am quite 3excited about it. Moana is all about an adventurous teenager who is on a mission to save her people. She has quite the journey ahead of her and of course meets some interesting characters along the way including Maui the once might demigod. Now a Disney film wouldn't be complete without some great merchandise to go along with it and the girls were lucky enough to be sent the Moana Happy Book Tin from the lovely people at Parragon to review ahead of the release of the film.
Now the girls weren't aware that they'd be receiving the tin and it was wrapped up wonderfully by the people at Parragon to make a lovely surprise to be opened. Layla was the first to notice the parcel waiting on the table so she did the honours, I asked her what might be inside before she started ripping off the paper and she did think it was a doll at first but was more than happy with the packages contents. You can see Layla opening up the delivery and the girls enjoying its contents in the video below.
Inside the tin you get a story book, an activity book, a colouring book, stickers, a poster to colour and they even provide four pens too, a real all in one package and something that is suitable for both boys and girls in my opinion. And the good thing is there is something for everyone to enjoy from those that love to read to those that prefer to get creative. Having four girls it was nice to see that this was something they could easily share between them. My youngest was quick to grab the stickers whilst my eldest being the book worm was the first to take advantage of reading the story, she was also nice enough to read it to her sisters on a separate occasion.
I personally enjoyed reading the story to Layla myself too whilst my older three took themselves off to read by themselves. There are some lovely pictures to go along with the story itself which makes it just as good a book for younger children as they can use their imaginations to work out what is happening. It's a really enjoyable tale filled with adventure and excitement and I think it teaches kids about the importance of teamwork and from a female point of view it is nice to see a strong female character not your usual princess. I'm quite excited to see the actual film now, I mean you can't go wrong with a bit of Disney.
Priced at, this would make a lovely gift for any child. As well as all of the items that you receive in the tin, the tin itself comes in handy, my children have already begun storing some of their little trinkets in theirs so it really is value for money. I could see this making a really great stocking filler or an affordable present when buying for your kids friends etc.
This looks lovely! I've always been a bit of a sucker for Disney merchandise! I'll look forward to watching the film. Luckily my younger two will still watch Disney and animated films, but I suspect I'll be watching them on my own in the not-too-distant future!
ReplyDeleteI've not heard about this film. I think it's nice to know the story before you see a film (I know others may disagree and prefer to watch a film first!). This looks like a fun resource to go alongside the story.
