September is here and that means it is time for the obligatory back to school photos and this year is one that is going to stand out for me because my youngest has officially started primary school, I no longer have any children at home.
This means for one year only I will have all four of my daughters in the same school because as well as it being my youngest's first year it is also my eldest's last year at primary school, emotions galore this week!
So whilst the youngest has been settling in and the middle two have been getting back into routine the eldest bless her heart has been sitting tests this week, both the Kent and Dover Grammar tests in the hope that she can get a place in our local grammar school for next September, although I think I was more nervous than her.
The photo above makes it seem like they have all grown up suddenly, looking older although you can still see how small Layla is compared to her siblings.
People keep asking me what I am going to do with my time now, I'll admit I've felt rather lost this week but I will be volunteering at their school 4 days a week once Layla starts full time so I won't have too much time to get bored. I suppose I best enjoy the peace while I can.
