Dots Super Connect-the-Dots-Puzzles Book Review

I have often expressed my love of colouring in on this blog but did you also know that I love a good puzzle? I was recently sent the fantastic Dots Super Connect-the-Dots-Puzzles book and I'll admit I was thinking that this would be aimed more towards kids but it is definitely something that adults can enjoy too.

Included within the book are six coloured pencils and when you read the introduction it all becomes clear as to why they come with it and also why those chosen colours. You see this isn't your normal run of the mill dot to dot book. Yes you are still following the numbers to create a picture but there is an added element.

As you follow the sequence of numbers you are also following the dots themselves, these begin to change colour as you work your way round, so every time the dot changes colour you need to start using the corresponding coloured pencil. Clever right!?

It is a simple process and quite easy to do but it adds a certain amount of depth to the final picture that you are left with once all of the dots have been joined. Just like colouring I found it quite relaxing, a nice distraction and of course there s also the option to colour in the resulting picture once the puzzle has been completed.

The further you get into the book the more the puzzles increase in size, this is where it can become a little tricky seeing certain numbers, sometimes you do have to concentrate a little more so as not to make any mistakes. 

At the back of the book you will find the answers to each of the connect-the-dots puzzles, a great way to check if your picture has turned out exactly how you expected it too, to see if you did indeed connect all of the dots.

Priced at £10.99 this is a puzzle book that can be enjoyed by the all the family, whether you want to get stuck into joining the dots or like the idea of colouring the pictures in afterwards, there is a certain amount of appeal to all creative types.
