My Sunday Photo 2016 #31

kids-exercising

This little girl loves exercising almost as much as I do, always imitating what I'm doing. And what's funny is that she knows what a lot of the exercises are called, you should see her attempt at a push up.

Growing up to be strong (like her mum is trying to do). I think it's a good thing that my kids see me exercising as they get to know that it is a healthy thing to do rather than a way to lose weight!

Although when they're "borrowing" my equipment it makes it slightly harder for me to do get on with my own workouts!

  1. Such a cute photo! It's so important that kids learn about a healthy lifestyle from their parents. I'm so happy that all of my kids are regular Parkrunners.

  8. Very cute! I agree, I think it's important that our kids see us being active if we want to encourage them to exercise too.

  9. Aw that's sweet. N just tries to 'help' me by pressing on my bottom to push me down while I'm planking (not that I do much anymore).

He does do his own exercises that they do in school - in gymnastics/yoga - and which are mostly stretching things. They're obviously drumming in the importance of exercise and fitness even in reception.

  10. Aww shes such a cutie! I think this is why it is great to exercise in front of the kids! They will copy and hopefully make it a part of them too! I also try to exercise in front of my son and he join/bugs me too =P
