I remember watching Blue Peter as a child but I never bothered to send anything in to get myself a Badge from them but kids are a bit more determined than I ever was so they decided to get their creative caps on so that they could each send something in in the hopes that they'd get a badge in return.
Elise sent in a poem, Freya sent in a lovely drawing of some flowers and Gracie sent in something about me. And look what turned up in the post this week. They were extremely pleased and even took them into school to show them off to their friends and teachers. Now if you didn't know already then it is well worth your kids trying to get themselves a Blue Peter badge because once you've got this you can then apply for a Blue Peter card which gets your children free entry into a lot of places for free until they turn 16, this includes theme parks like Thorpe Park, a wonderful reward for your kids showing off the creativity don't you think!
I never knew about the Blue Peter card! What a fab idea and a good reward for their efforts.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what an amazing thing to receive! Well done to them.
ReplyDeleteI never knew about the Blue Peter Card, although to be fair my kids have never once watched Blue Peter!
