Hello everyone, welome to this weeks Read With Me. I'll admit time got away with me last week and I didn't really manage to read anything, unless you count some Lego instructions. Between birthdays, family visiting and drinks out I've really just not felt like reaching for a book, which doesn't happen very often I must say.
My husband has gone back to work after a few weeks off due to the previous job coming to an end and with him having to stay away it leaves me with my evenings free to read as much as I'd like, I miss him already but I'll admit it is nice not to have someone nagging me to turn the bedroom light off.
I'm loving how many of you are currently linking up, I've added some great book suggestions to my TBR list and not all of my usual genre choice either, good to step out of the box as such. My favourite post last week came from All About a Mummy. She reviewed YOU by Caroline Kepnes, a darker read but one that certainly intrigues me.
Onto this weeks link up. If you are new to Read With Me you can look here at what the linky is all about. Regulars get linking (max of 2 posts), commenting and hopefully displaying my badge.
Happy reading.
I usually read on the kindle app on my phone in bed, and my OH complains endlessly that I'm keeping him awake... he doesn't seem to remember it when he has a book he wants to finish and leaves the main light on though ;)
ReplyDeleteI used to read a lot in the evenings in bed but reccently I have just been hitting the pillow and falling straight to sleep. So have been doing my reading on the sofa before bed while my husband watches rubbish on TV! XX
ReplyDeleteHehe, I must admit I tend to just stay on the sofa and read to avoid the bedroom light argument ;)
ReplyDeleteI felt like I needed Me-Time to recharge after finishing a block of night shifts last week, so I grabbed a couple of Dan Brown books off the shelf to re-read and ignored everything and everyone else
ReplyDeleteI read more on my kindle these days but I have at least two books on my bookcase I really should read. Maybe this week! Thank you for letting me link up my own writing again this week
