My Sunday Photo 2016 #2

I think this photograph manages to sum up our whole week. We have been so lucky weather wise in recent months, I mean up until now the temperatures have been oh so mild and most of us haven't had to contend with a lot of bad weather at all. January obviously decided to change things up a little.

Watching the flooding up North via social media and the TV had me feeling so unbelievably greatful that we hadn't been afftected in that way. However a lucky escape was had this week as there were floods galore around our town and surrounding areas. Torrential rain just continued to pour, little blue sky in sight. The perfect weather for ducks you might say.

The photo above was taken from my 7 year old daughter's bedroom up in the loft, needless to say we haven't ventured out very far apart from the obligatory school runs, I'd much rather hibernate under a blanket if I had the option.

How has the weather been where you are?

  1. It's been horrible this week, hasn't it? We're very grateful that we've escaped all the flooding and power cuts.

  2. Right down in Cornwall it has been much the same, though we had 2 dry afternoons last week, even so the river is right up and now the water table at ground level. Surely it has to end soon?

  5. Ha that photo could have been taken from our window! We've been lucky with regard to flodding, but it's been like living inside the movie Seven with never ending rain!

  9. This just about sums up our weather in South Wales too. It's been grey, miserable and very, very wet.
