Operation : Paws!
Nikki's Mission : Hide 7 puppies from 2 parents, an entire school and 1 mean girl out for revenge.
When the animal shelter that Brandon volunteers at (how cute is he?) is too full to take a litter of abandoned puppies Nikki decides to look after them until the shelter has more room. Simple right?
Ummm no!
Her parents won't allow dogs in the house, so Nikki has to hide the pups at home AND take them to school in secret… but the dogs are a lot harder work than they look - and messier too! Is Nikki's plan going to end in pawfully dorky disaster?!
Straight away you are drawn to this book purely from the front cover, bright colours and oh so adorable paw prints have everyone going aaawwwww. This is another fun and quirky story, if you aren't familiar with the series you can take a look at my reviews for other books in the Dork Diaries series.
But for now I'll leave you with my 9 year old daughter's thoughts :
Dork Diaries Puppy Love is definitely full of cute puppies and unstoppable mischief! Nikki tries to help Brandon by taking in seven puppies and their mother. It's chaos from the beginning trying yo hide them from her whole family and then she has to take them to school…
Puppy Love is overcome with cuteness. My favourite moment in the book is actually the ending. Nikki's parents adopt the smallest puppy aaaa. Brianna and Nikki call her Daisy. The picture of Daisy is SO CUTE!
The funniest moment is …. Miss Bri Bri returns! She makes a total mess of the dogs, oops! She nearly made me wet myself with laughter, seriously funny.
This book delighted me the whole way through. Puppy Love is definitely a great addition to the Dork Diaries series. My final verdit, I LOVED IT.
I've always been impressed with this series, easy to read and each one still manages to engage and excite the reader. A must have book collection for anyones book shelf.
