Special K Gets Colourful

My girls and I have always loved cereals and porridges. I love putting granola over yoghurt and mixing porridge with yummy fruit and nuts and to be honest I don't eat them just at breakfast either. Special K have recently launched a new range of porridges, cereals and snack bars as part of their 'Live in Colour' campaign in an aim to encourage people to live a life which is filled with variety and choices and what better way to start this than with the most important meal of the day.

special k new cereal range

I was kindly sent some of their new range to try and I was disappointed. Each box packed a punch in their own way …

Special K Protein Crunch

Now this cereal is filled with ctunchy clusters which are made from 6 wholegrains and with a pinch of cinnamon and a touch of honey they have their own unique flavour. What I like most is the protein content, this makes for the perfect post workout breakfast.

Special K Super Porridges

Containing barley, oats, rye, wheat flakes and spelt, they are extremely high in fibre, which can only be a good thing. Available in 3 different flavours : Apricot, Linseed and Pumpkin Seed , Raspberry, Pomegranate and Pumpkin Seed or Almond, Pecan and Sunflower, these porridges are tasty enough by themselves or a great base for adding even more fruits and nuts to them,

Special K Red Berry Cereal Bars

You're probably thinking that these aren't anything new but they've had a recipe overhaul. These babies are now lower in sugar and a great source of wholegrain. My toddler took great delight in taste testing these for me.

Special K Granola

With 30% less fat than the average granola, I'm partial to sprinkling this over yogurt or smoothie bowls. They add a wonderful texture and I think my favourite out of the range.

Special K Red Apple, Almond and Vanilla

This recipe is brought to you by Tess Daly, I honestly don't think I would have thought of this combination myself but it really works. Adds that touch of colour to the original Special K, making it that bit more special.

Nutri K

Like the cereal bars, the Special K flakes themselves have changed, for the better I might add. Fortified with 9 vitamins and minerals and also lower in sugar, this cereal now aims to help muscle function, immunity and vitality to help kick start your day in the best way.

So in the interest of variety of fun which one of the new range would you choose first??

Disclaimer : I was sent these cereals FOC for reviewing purposes however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
