With the Summer holidays here, Scruffs sent my husband a couple of items from their range to trial and see how it faired not only when he was at work but when he was at play too. A great excuse to get outside in the great outdoors.
We were kindly sent two items. The first was a pair of cargo shorts (£19.95). My husband chose a khaki colour as he felt this was more neutral and let me tell you first my husband is fussy when it comes to clothing, with these he had no complaints (even though he wouldn't pose for a photo).
These cotton twill combat shorts appear to be hard wearing and come with multiple pockets and a free adjustable belt. They washed up well and even survived a time in the tumble drier.
Available in both navy and a beige colouring too, I'd say they would be great to wear when on a camping trip as the pockets will be able to hold all sorts of essentials.
The second item my husband chose was a pair of SBP HRO WRU SRA rated waterproof safety boots (£64.95),not sure what all those ratings mean but I'm thinking they're good!
What I really liked about these is that they come with a spare pair of laces. The tan colouring matched nicely with the khaki shorts but the boots also work well with trousers too. Reinforced with double stitching, a cushion sole, padded ankle collar and waterproof uppers, they are fit to use in any weather conditions, our Summers are always particularly rainy so no worries there.
My husband was in two minds at what size to get, he ended up going with the 10 which fit really well even with thick socks on. For the price I'm hoping they'll be long lasting as my darling husband is known to go through boots quite quickly.
With reasonable prices and a great selection to choose from, Scruffs cater for even the fussiest of men!
