Wentworth Personalised Wooden Puzzle Review

I love a good jigsaw puzzle, it is another one of those things, along with colouring that I find relaxing, almost therapeutic so when I was asked if I'd like to review a personalised puzzle from Wentworth I was eager to accept.

Each puzzle is made to order and can be created as a 50 piece (£25.95) or a 100 piece (£30.95). Ordering is simple, the only hard part is deciding which photo you'd like to use. Your image must be a jpeg which is between 1mb and 5mb to ensure that it prints clearly on the puzzle.

I chose the below photograph of my kids.

Each puzzle is made in a rectangular shape and some cropping may occur so this is something to also bare in mind when picking your photo. Wentworth aim to have puzzles made and despatched by 10 working days which I think is a reasonable time frame for something being made from scratch.

I received a 50 piece puzzle and the image I'd chosen was clearly placed on the box so I knew just what would be inside.

Upon opening I found that the puzzle pieces were neatly stored in a duster bag, keeping them safe and clean. This I thought was a really lovely touch as the bag itself was thick and secured well.

The puzzle pieces themselves are a really good size. The wooden pieces are quite thick and finished with smooth edges so completely safe for little hands to touch. And what you discover as you start to sort them out is that a few of the pieces are shaped liked animals. A lovely whimsical touch, adds an extra element of fun to the jigsaw.

My girls had fun telling me which animals they were spotting, you can see above that we found a kangaroo, a fish, a dolphin and a zebra. It added an extra depth to what we were doing.

The rest of the puzzle pieces aren't typically shaped either and even for me as an adult I found discovering where each piece went a little time consuming. This isn't even a bad thing, it was nice for it not to be made too quickly, I think you feel like you've got your moneys worth when a bit more care and attention has gone into it.

And it was wonderful as we were putting the puzzle together being able to begin seeing the animal shaped gaps as well.

Each piece of the jigsaw slotted together with ease even on an uneven surface such as our carpet. And the finished product looked great. The image had printed out clearly, no blurry edges to be seen.

This puzzle is perfect for both children and adults, very family orientated. A lovely activity to do together or separately and I think it would make a great gift for others and being personalised it makes the perfect keepsake too.
