Easy Waxing With Veet

I have to admit as a woman I am quite lucky. I'm a natural blonde therefore the hairs on my legs are blonde too so I don't have to shave my legs as often as some because the hairs just aren't that noticeable.  My problem is that I have sensitive skin (including eczema) so certain methods of hair removal cause my skin to become either covered in rashes or red and sore. I admit to dry shaving once and the results were definitely less than to be desired!!

This is where Veet want to lend a helping hand, they already had many waxing kits available but they now have their Natural Inspirations line which is dermologically tested. I was kindly sent the EasyWax Electric Roll on Kit to try and I can tell you now that it's definitely a good product, well for me anyway.

The process of waxing was fairly simple. The wax refill gets placed in the heating device which is then plugged in and left to heat up for around 25 minutes. The red light on the front shows that it is working. It is recommended that you test the roll on on a piece of paper to make sure that the wax is soft enough before you begin on yourself.

Once the wax was ready I began rolling it onto my legs, using the non woven strips to stick ontop of the wax. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised as it didn't hurt like I thought it would when actually pulling the strips back. My only difficuly was holding the skin on my leg tight as I pulled back the strip, felt like I needed a little more practice, either that or and extra pair of hands.

It took around half an hour to complete the task and after using the finish wipes, my legs were left feeling super smooth. I think the mix of shea butter in the wax moisturised my skin as I was waxing.

I think my only trouble was that I became a little sticky shall we say the more wax I used. I would have preferred if there were a few more woven strips in the pack but I think if anything practice makes perfect.

The end result was brilliant. I think my legs looked slighlty 'angry' for maybe a couple of hours but there was no pain and after a cool bath the appearance of my legs was back to normal.

With an initiial price of £29.99 I would say it is a price worth paying. The hair removal itself can last up to 28 days, (I'm on day 7 with no real sign of hair growing back). And with wax refills costing around £9.99 this is a product that can be used numerous times.

As someone with sensitive skin I highly recommend the Veet EasyWax Electric Roll on Kit.

  2. I tried one of these last year (or maybe even the year before, I lose track) but I really struggled with it. I'm definitely a razor girl.
