Losing Weight Means New Clothes Needed

Since January I have lost almost a stone in weight, go me!! The issue with losing weight is that new clothes are needed, the old clothes don't fit anymore, they either fall down or are so baggy that they make me look bigger than what I am.

Now every girl loves an excuse to buy new outfits right? However this of course comes at a price. This means I am always on the look out for a bargain.

I tend to do a mix of online and high street shopping.

When on the laptop my first port of call is eBay, I have no issue with wearing second hand clothes and lets be honest you can end up with some fab items for a quarter of their normal price. I'm one of those people that waits for the last few seconds and manages to get a steal. It's about the only time that I get crowned a winner!!

One of my latest purchases was this amazing jumper, it's from Forever 21 but it cost me a small £4.20 including postage. #winning

The second thing I like to do when I'm online shopping is look for money off codes and promotions. Places like www.voucherbin.co.uk can save me lots of pennies on some of my favourite brands. Allows me to purchase something that should be expensive for a fraction of the cost.

When it comes to the highstreet I have three favourite shops, Primark, TKMax and H&M.

Their prices allow me to buy a lot more than I would in a lot of other shops. I'm yet to convince the hubby the Primarni is where he needs to look. Where he buys one £50 brand named T-shirt, I can buy myself a whole outfit including the all important shoes.

The only that gets on my nerves when it comes to primark is the sizing. It varies so much I can fit into anything from a 6 to a 12 depending on the style, material etc, I definitely have to try things on before I buy in there.

And of course there is always clothes sales, the trouble is my size always seems to be sold out by the time I get there, I'm never the early bird.

Do any of you have suggestions when it comes to searching for bargain clothes??

  1. I struggle to find things in the sale too. I take a size 12 top and that seems to be ever so popular. Well done on the weight loss.

  2. Yay to new clothes! I did lots of shopping last year because of losing weight and I loved every minute of it. I do like to save money and for essentials I always go to primark, but I do like to buy one or two dresses. I bought a couple from FCUK and although they were expensive I know they'll last.
