Easter Biscuit Baking

Ok ok, I know Easter has been and gone but the girls got some lovely Easter cookie cutters over the holidays but we were late in using them however I couldn't not show you their final efforts as I myself (yes I may be biased) was impressed with the results.

Ingredients

* 200g Butter
* 150g Caster Sugar
* 2 Egg yolks (preferrably large)
* 400g Plain Flour
* 1 tsp Cinnamon
* 1 tsp Nutmeg
* Milk incase needed

Preparation

* Preheat the oven to 180Âșc and grease two baking trays.

* Put the butter and sugar in a large bowl and mix together until the mixture turns light and fluffy.

* Beat in the egg yolks.

* Sieve in the flour, cinnamon and nutmeg, then using your hands combine the ingredients until a soft dough is formed, adding a small amount of milk if needed.

* Next knead the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll out.

* Cut out the biscuits using your cutters of choice then placed on the already greased trays.

* Bake in the oven for around 15 minutes.

* Leave to cool on a wire rack. Once cooled decorate as you see fit.
