Wrapping paper.
Something we use a lot but also something that tends to just get thrown in the bin after usage, so why do we all spend so much money on it??
The fact that we are in the process of buying a house and that Christmas is just round the corner (yes I did just say the C word), I'm thinking of ways that I can save myself money.
One idea, making my own wrapping paper.
It was actually my mum that suggested it the other day when I realised I had no gift wrap to package up my nephew's birthday present in.
It worked out to be the perfect solution.
Easy to do.
All you need is a large sheet of plain paper, some colouring pencils or pens and your imagination…
My girls set to work drawing and writing.
The end result.
Something that was fun, colourful and above all else personal.
And because we had all the tools to make it at home already, it didn't cost us a penny!!
What designs would you come up with, would you stick with patterns, pictures or perhaps a mixture of both??
xxxx
How lovely - this is such a great idea and, in fact, I could probably stick lots of Grace's old drawings together to turn them into wrapping paper. So much more personal :) Thank you for linking to PoCoLo :) x
