I Want To Be A Witch Book Review

Seen as it is Halloween this week I thought it was appropriate that I shared a review of a Halloween themed book with yourselves.

I Want To Be a Witch is a wonderfully illustrated book written by Ian Culiffe and published by Little Tiger.

There are lots of things about being a witch that don't sound good. Like having yucky green hair and cooking up spells.

Find out what happens when one little girls decides to make up her own witchy rules…

This fun and quirky book might be 32 pages long but with short sentences and plenty to look at and discuss, the story really gets little imaginations going.

The pictures themselves were bright and engaging with lots of different details to point out and discover.

Looking at shapes, animals, costumes and so much more.

We all agreed that our favourite part was, "Bat-Cat & Pumpkin Girl!"

The girls and I took the time to make up our own spells, making up our own witchy rules and talking about the kind of witches we would be after reading the story.

Hocus Pocus Poo.
A wizard I'll make of you.
No longer just a cat.
In a pointy hat.
You can do spells too!

With a RRP of £6.99, this picture book is perfect to read all year round, not just at Halloween. A story to get the kids thinking and laughing. Simple entertainment.
