One thing my kids love is food.
I can always count on them to let me know when meal times are and one thing I can also count on is that clothes will get messy.
My eldest two have reached the stage of not needing bibs anymore but Gracie and Layla still need covering up, especially when orange coloured foods are involved!!!
The trouble is a lot of bibs only cover the front of clothing, they forget that mess can spread far and wide including the sleeves and bottoms too.
I was recently sent a couple of Silly Billyz Messy Eater bibs from BPM childcare to try out and review, suitable for children aged 12 months to 3 years and beyond, they seemed like they could be the solution to those pesky food stains….
The Silly Billyz Messy Eater bibs come in a range of different colours and there is a choice of two different materials, fleece or towel.
I received one of each material to try.
Both are designed the same, made with water resistant nylon backing and an extra long and wide front.
The Messy Eater bibs length means your child will be covered to around their knees but the poppers at the front allowing you to create a pocket to catch food if this is what you'd prefer.
Long sleeves with elasticated cuffs stop food from spreading up their arms.
Perfectly placed tie backs making sure that the bib is held in place.
And adjustable poppers around the neck to create a comfortable fit.
The one difference with the towel bib is that it has a snuggle neck guard which is suitable to help catch spillages and dribbles.
I loved how easy these bibs are to use.
Simple to do up and extremely absorbent.
The girls really put these bibs to the test, I think they were determined to drop more food than normal.
However not even spaghetti sauce could defeat the Silly Billyz bib.
Messy eater bibs can be washed in the washing machine and dried in the tumble dryer and after every clean, they still managed to come out looking brand new.
No stains in sight and the bibs remained the same size wash after wash, dry after dry.
Overall I preferred the fleece over the towel as I found it slightly more absorbent and faster drying but both performed well.
From £10.95 a bib (currently on sale for £8.95), the Silly Billyz messy eater bibs are well worth the money. You can see from the picture to the right that even Gracie who is 4 was fully covered when wearing the bib.
Showing that they will see you right through from baby to toddler and beyond.
Colourful and versatile.
Not only can they be used at mealtimes, they are perfect for any sort of messy play including painting and baking.
If you fancy seeing these bibs in real life you can always pop along to the babyshow at the Olympia in October and have a nosy. You can also follow Silly Billyz on twitter for all their latest news.
This is one baby accessory I wish I had found a long time ago, well worth checking out.
