Keeping Hydrated With SodaStream

When someone mentions SodaStream, it takes me back to my childhood.

I think of staying at my Nan's house and drinking cream soda and ginger beer, I remember being amazed out the bubbles magically appearing in the water.

So when I was asked if I would like to review a SodaStream Play whilst giving people advice on how to keep our kids hydrated this Summer, I couldn't reply with YES quick enough.

Fiona Hope MD at SodaStream Uk says

“We are determined to keep the nation hydrated this summer and make the experience fun and appealing for both children and adults.  Encouraging children to have a healthy and balanced diet is one of the biggest battles parents face, and drinking enough water plays a big role in this.  Children lose water faster than adults so they need to drink more to replace it, which can be a struggle, and the tendency is to reach for sugar-filled fizzy drinks.  With a SodaStream hydration station, you can create sparkling water and flavoured sparkling drinks at home, with 70% less sugar and calories than leading competitors, making drinking water interactive and enjoyable.”

The SodaStream Play comes in four vibrant colours which include white, black, yellow and red.

I chose the black version as I thought it would fit in nicely with my other kitchen appliances.

In the box you recieve the SodaStream Play itself as well as a 1 litre carbonating bottle, a 15 litre C02 cylinder, instruction manual and a packet of 6 sample flavours so that you can start using the machine straight away.

The C02 cylinder slots neatly into the bottom, keeping it completely out of view.

This leaves the machine itself to look stylish and modern with a minimalistic feel.

Featuring a new 'auto lift' slider, which automatically returns to its original position after use and the popular 'snap lock' mechanism which cleverly locks the carbonating bottle into the bottle rest in one single push motion.

The SodaStream allows you to create drinks easily with as little or as much fizz as you want by simply pushing down 'auto lift' slider 2-3 secs at time.

From sparkling. And with over 40 different flavours to choose from including their free from range, their is literally something for everyone.

It has certainly made the kid more excited about drinking, they've helped create their own drinks, although Gracie thinks every drink is called SodaStream lol.

SodaStream hasn't let me down. It was certainly as good as I remember, infact I would have to say better with all the new drinks available. although cream soda remains my favourite.

Priced at £69.99, I would say it is one of those appliances that you just have to have!!
