POP is a high energy children's channel which is primarily aimed at children between the ages of 4 and 9 years old. It can be found on Sky channel 616, Freesat channel 60 and Freeview channel 75. It is actually the first channel to be added to the Freeview children's portfolio in eight years!!
We received two DVDs, each containing episodes of four different programmes.
Disc 1
Oh no! Its and alien invasion
Art Zoopla
Eliot Kid
Littlest Petshop
Disc 2
Finding stuff out
Sally bollywood
Totally spies
Transformers - rescue bots
Yu-Gi-Oh! zexa!
What I like is that there is good mixture of programmes aimed at boys and girls alike.
You can find exciting cartoons as well as shows that teach you how to create artwork and learning about things around you.
I asked the girls what their favourite programme was :
Elise said "I loved 'Finding out stuff' because I love learning new things"
Freya said "my favourite was 'Oh no it's an alien invasion' as it made me laugh"
Gracie said I like 'Littlest petshop' the animals were cool"
Oh and my favourite had to be Art Zoopla, it was fun and gave me ideas of crafts that I could do with the girls, I don't think you will ever beat the original Art Attack but this made for a good substitute.
I think POP might just be the new favourite TV channel. The girls were happy because they have now got some new programmes to watch and I am one happy mummy as I'm not left to watch the same things on repeat all of the time.
We also recommend checking out POP's online site as their is a club you can join, activities to try, games to play and videos to watch, great for keeping the kids entertained on a rainy day!!
Disclaimer : I was sent the DVDs free of charge for reviewing purposes however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
My girls watch this now and again....There's some fun shows on there :) #TriedTested
ReplyDeleteMy kids LOVE Finding stuff out, they watch endless episodes of it! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
ReplyDeletePOP is my kids favourite channel, my wee man is obsessed with facts and loves finding stuff out, they both love Yu Gi Oh and Caitlin loves Littlest Pet Shop, it's the only channel they ask for these days.
ReplyDeleteChildren's TV is so hard isn't it - we are very much a Cbeebies only household but I know Ben is starting to want to watch more grown up programmes so I'm starting to look out for other things he can watch when the girls are asleep.
