Dettol Handwash and Wipes Review

Dettol are a company that know how important family is and they believe that our families health can sometimes depend on the choices we make at home when it comes to disinfecting, hygiene and first aid.

I was recently sent some Dettol products to try out and review. I received Dettol's Nourishing Handwash with E45 and their Cleansing Surface Wipes.

The Dettol Handwash with E45 comes in a 250ml bottle and has a recommended price of £2.50. This handwash not only kills 99.9% of bacteria, removing viruses, with the added E45, it also helps protect your hands against dryness. It contains honey which mixed in with their unique formulation leaves little and big hands feeling a lot softer and more nourished.

All of my family suffer from different degrees of dry skin conditions and it was nice to have a handwash that we could all use, that didn't cause a bad reaction and even when used frequently didn't irritate at all. And the added bonus is that it leaves your hands smelling wonderful after washing too.

The Dettol Surface Cleansing Wipes come in a pack of 36 and have a recommended price of £2.00. Each wipe not only kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, it also removes 90% of all allergens too. It is nice to see that they contain no bleach, no odour and no taint, perfect for even my sensitive skin. 

They are suitable for all surfaces including highchairs, toilets, changing mats, kitchens & sinks and chopping boards, definitely multi-use and perfect for families.

I liked that the pack was easy to reseal when not in use, meaning no dried out wipes. I think the only real negative is that as handy as the wipes are, they don't last as long as a bottle of cleaning spray.

Overall I really liked both products and although more expensive than say supermarket own brands, I think I would be willing to pay the higher price as not only are the products of high quality and work well, Dettol is well known and trusted brand and who can put a price on their families health and hygiene.
