April's Degustabox, What's Inside?

Way back in February I was lucky enough to have the chance to review a box from Degustabox, I was extremely impressed. If you haven't heard of them before or read my previous post, let me explain a little, Degustabox are company that provide you with a monthly surprise food box, packed with ten to fifteen different products, a lot of which are completely new to the market. I was given the chance to review another box and let me tell you straight away that Degustabox did not disappoint, infact this box was better than the last one.

They have improved the packaging since I received my last box, lots of bubble wrap protecting the products inside, everything turned up in perfect conditon, no broken bottles and no crushed food.
April's box contained :

Dr Oetkers fine cooks chocolate in milk and extra dark £1.69 each

Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer in Rasberry Flavour £2.19

Clearspring Miso soups £1.29 each

Lindt Lindor bars £0.80 each

Go Splash Blackcurrant £2.45

Cawston Press Rhubarb drink £1.00

Mornflake Superfast Breakfast pots, Granola and Muesli £1.20 each

Keogh's Sea Salt and Irish Cider Vinegar Crisps £1.00

Mcvitie's Jaffa Cake Mini Rolls in Tropicool and Berry Burst £1.30 each

My Favourites

The lindor bars, these are melt in your mouth chocolate, Degustabox must have already known that these are my favourite chocolates, I just
couldn't resist them.

The Cawston Press Rhubarb drink, the packaging had a real retro feel and it tasted just like the rhubarb and custard sweets that you can buy, truly scrumptious.

The Clearspring Miso soups, quick and simple to make, perfect to take to work with you and low in calories so ideal for anyone that is on a diet.

And finally the Mornflake Breakfast Pots. Complete with a spoon in the lid, they are handy if you need to have breakfast on the go. At first glance it didn't seem like I would get a lot of cereal but once I added the water, it wass surprising just how much I actually get in there, perfect portion size!!

The girls favourite

Well of course the Mcvitie's Mini Rolls, a great size for the pack lunches. I admit I did have one or two and I have no complaints, the pack even suggested that you try them frozen and I like to try new things so I did as I was told and it made them the perfect little snack on a hot day.

Daddy Hazelden's favourite

Well apart from the Lindor bar that he managed to steal from me, it was the Go Splash that got his attention, he said it was handy to have at work to pop into a bottle of water, tasty but not too sweet and it saves carrying around a big litre bottle of squash.

The only product I didn't like was the Crabbie's Ginger Beer but that is something that of course won't be to everyones tastes but it was nice to try something different even if it wasn't something I would buy again.

Overall another great box and for the price of £12.99 a month including delivery, I still think it is well worth the cost, I have been introduced to many brands that I wouldn't have known about/looked at if it weren't for Degustabox.

Now watch this space for a recipe post because I will be attempting to make chocolate fondants with a little help from Degustabox and the Dr Oetker chocolate they so kindly provided me with.

In the mean time if you fancy taking the plunge and getting your first Degustabox you can use code GGDEX to get £3.00 when you register. You can of course also find Degustabox on Twitter and Facebook to keep up to date with all of their latest news and the low down on the products which you will be receiving.
