We decided to take a walk up to our local park and take the time to explore a little.
The height of the lake showed just how much it has been raining recently, it was literally filled to the brim, I don't think it would take much for it to begin flooding.
We found a couple of bird baths, which I was trying to convince the girls to get in, well it is a bath and it would save on the water bill at home right!!??
Elise happened to point out just how smelly the water was though and I think my children are smelly enough as it is.
Whilst walking around the trail, the girls were taking it in turns to push Layla around in her pushchair.
Well that is until they found something better to do, I was told they were all queens of their castle.
We spotted many things as we walked around including daffodils and daisies and we managed to come home with 28 pine cones.
Lets hope we see more beautiful blue skies in the coming weeks It was lovely getting out in the fresh air and an added bonus was that it cost absolutely nothing. Winning :)
xxxx

DeleteIt's wonderful having blue skies and sunshine again after all the awful weather, it instantly starts the day off well. I can see the girls had a fun time exploring the park and having great fun together, thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteThe sunshine was a much welcomed change to all the rain and wind, think the girls were just excited to get out of the house x
