Meal times

I was reading an article the other day about the amount of food that gets left over when children eat and what can get wasted. It got me thinking about the way we eat in our household.

Since my children were babies I have always tried to make it so that we all eat the same food and that I only cook one dinner. Sometimes this might not be possible if daddy is working late but majority of the time this is the case.

My kids can be very fickle sometimes and what they like one day they suddenly decide they don't like it the next. I don't then go and make something different for them as I know if they are hungry they will eat.

I don't always give my children pudding either as I see this as a treat, not an every day thing. And they certainly don't get pudding if they don't eat all of their dinner.

I am very lucky that 9 times out of 10 my children will eat all of their dinner and more if let them, they are not ones to let things go to waste, infact my children normally eat more than I do.

So what are meal times like in your house, do you have certain rules you stick to, do your children get pudding evry day?? Let me know your thoughts.
