10 Easter Themed Recipes

easter themed recipes

Easter is only a couple of weeks away and the Easter bunny is getting ready to bring the chocolate eggs but whilst we wait patiently (or eat some you've already bought, hides boxes), I thought I'd share with you some Easter themed recipes. Some getting you ready for you to use up those left over chocolate eggs, I know what your thinking sure left over chocolate can't be possible but just incase…. There are also breakfast ideas, scrummy cakes and delightful cocktails so read on and see which recipe takes your fancy.

Lets kick things off with a breakfast recipe. The lovely Super Busy Mum shows how to make these very cute breakfast bunnies

Here's one of my own recipes. Creme egg chickpea blondies. It's cake but healthyish. The chickpeas are packed with protein and of course you get that naughty hit with the creme egg in the middle of each slice mmm.

Now here's a fab alternative if you aren't a chocolate lover. Emmys Mummy shares her recipe for a White Chocolate Bunny cocktail.

A simple treat that requires no baking from Truly Madly Kids, these marshmallow pops off a great alternative easter treat, perfect for and Easter party maybe.

Nobody Said It was Easy shares the ultimate scotch egg, the scotch brownie creme egg, try not to think of all the calories that goes into this and just enjoy chocolatey goodness.

I love making bark, I made a nice peppermint version at Christmas. Here NatureMumBlog shares her Easter Bark recipe packed with my favourite, Mini Eggs.

A refreshing Lemon and Almond Easter cake is what Casa Costello has to offer you. I'd never thought about putting lemons with almonds before but I'll definitely be giving this a try!

Another creme egg recipe, one which I tried myself (pictured below). Scrummy Creme Egg cookies from the wonderful She Who Bakes.

Not just for Easter, this lovely recipe for salted caramel popcorn from Two Peas & Their Pod has my mouth watering.

And of course no Easter recipe round up would be complete without Easter nests. I personally like to make mine with cornflakes but you can use all sorts from cheerios, to popcorn. And of course as Mummy Lala shows us you can use shredded wheat too.
